Betty White – the last of the golden girls died just 2 weeks before what would’ve been her 100th birthday!

The legendary actress would have turned 100 on 17th January. She breathed her last on 31st December at the age of 99. Betty White passed away at her home in Brentwood, Los Angeles because of a cerebrovascular accident – commonly known as a stroke.

A special cover story was conducted by the People’s magazine in anticipation of the 100th birthday of Betty white. The magazine’s 10th January issue showcased a cover story touting the secret of the longer life of Betty white with the caption “funny never gets old.”

“My 100th birthday… I cannot believe it is coming up, and People Magazine is celebrating with me!” she tweeted on Dec. 28 in what would be her last post. 

“Betty White: 100 years young – a birthday celebration” – a feature film especially curated to honor White on her 100th birthday. It was already planned to be released on her birthday in approximately 900 theaters countrywide, a special one-day show. The producers’ Mike Trinklein and Steve Boettcher are more than determined to release the film as planned.

Many organizations, fan clubs, and friends and family are planning to pay tributes and homages to the legendary actress on her birthday by donating to her rescue or animal shelter mission calling it “Betty White challenge

Betty White has been known to be an animal lover for a lifetime and she worked endlessly to raise both finances and awareness for this noble cause.

“Betty’s love for animals as she says started in the womb…. She had an uncanny way of communicating with all types of 4-legged creatures…The animals just knew through Betty’s voice and body movement that she meant no harm,” Jeff Witjas, White’s agent previously stated. “In fact, there may have been a few times she would make a funny face and the animal would show signs of smiling…. Betty always knew how to work with her audience. I plan on Betty’s birthday to do a number of personal and private things to celebrate her fabulous life.”

Betty White had been anticipating celebrating her centennial birthday but she passed away mere days before. People mourn her death saying a soul gone too soon!
