After receiving a report of shots being fired early on Tuesday morning in Hamilton County, Ohio, sheriff’s deputies visited the residence of Bengals running back Joe Mixon. However, no one was taken into custody during this incident.

According to Fox 19 in Cincinnati, a child was sent to the hospital for treatment of very minor injuries.

According to the report, deputies were sent to the scene on Monday evening at 8:30 p.m. in response to a complaint of shots being fired. Throughout the night, deputies taped off the perimeter of the residence with crime scene tape.

The door of Mixon’s residence was pounded on by deputies at around 11:30 p.m., and they demanded that the homeowner step outside. A law enforcement officer came to the residence at around 1:30 a.m. with an envelope containing some papers. Shortly after that, deputies entered the residence and were observed searching with flashlights. At around 3:20 in the morning, the tape surrounding the crime scene was removed, and the deputies departed without making an arrest.

A month ago, Joe Mixon was accused of committing the minor offense of aggravated threatening; however, the charges against him were dropped the next day. Mixon, who is now 26 years old and has played his whole six-year career in the NFL with the Bengals. Mixon is currently under contract with the Bengals through the 2023 season with a cap hit of $12.8 million. Last week, the director of player personnel for the Bengals, Duke Tobin, said that he does not know whether the Bengals would keep Mixon.
