Maryland, Baltimore – Seven were injured, including four cops and two EMS, during a dreadful explosion on Monday at a nail salon in Baltimore, officials reported.
“Several first responders were injured following a minor explosion inside a nail salon in Windsor Mill, Maryland, on Monday night. Baltimore County Police said a man who was known to the business and employees intentionally set the fire,” CBS Baltimore Tweeted.
On Monday night, Baltimore County officials responded to an explosion incident call at Libra Nails and Spa, which resided in a strip mall, Milford Mill, Md. The bang injured seven people in total, of which four were police officials, two emergency medical service providers and one was a civilian.

In a statement to New York Post, the county officials revealed that the explosion happened after a man suffering from emotional distress ignited a fire. Apparently, the nail salon staff knew that person.
“Baltimore County Police Detective John Connors says a male suspect known to Libra Nails & Spa was in “emotional distress” and is accused of refusing to leave the business, ran to the back of the shop, and set the fire,” a reported Tweeted.
The explosion occurred following that man went to the backside of the salon. As of current reports, the authorities have taken the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms on board to investigate the cause of the incident.
One of the Fire Officials revealed to the Baltimore Sun that the suspect was a former employee at the salon. He was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview for treatment of injuries.
Police further confirmed that the first responders got also injured. However, they don’t sustain life-threatening injuries.
The fire got elevated to a HAZMAT situation due to the presence of solutions like nail paint remover. However, fire officials stated that the situation got under control by 10:30 at night.
Milford Mill resided 12.5 miles on the outskirts of Baltimore. The unincorporated town is home to 30,000 population.
