Emmy awards 2021 released a statement for the attendees of the event which will be held in September, asking them to bring along evidence of vaccination as well as a negative Covid-19 test report to attend the event.

As announced earlier, the Emmy Awards Ceremony will be limited due to the surging cases of delta variants in the United States of America.

As announced by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, the attendees are liable to present a negative Covid-19 test taken 72 hours before the commencement of the event. The event will take place on 11th September and will be telecasted on CBS on September 19th, 2021.

Last week the Academy announced that it is again going to limit the number of people attending the actual ceremony by cutting down the number of tickets allotted to each nominated team and moving all the creative arts ceremonies outside in an air-conditioned area situated on an event deck.

The surging cases of coronavirus compelled the L.A. television academy to cancel the Governor’s Balls where almost all the after parties are held of award ceremonies. The television academy also announces the cancelation of the Red Carpet Ceremony.

California is undergoing a serious coronavirus case surge over the past few weeks, averaging about 27000 new cases per 100,000 people jumping to almost double in a month. The hospitalization has also increased in California with several counties reporting almost the same number of cases as last winter.

California is also witnessing a surge in positive cases among its vaccinated population, resulting in a lot of ceremonies getting canceled across the state.
