After 21 seasons of The Voice, the producers were optimistic to bring a young talent that would bring a wave of fresh air to the franchise when they brought Ariana Grande as the new team coach for this season.

However, when the list of contestants going into the finale week was revealed this Tuesday, nine of the names were from team Arianna, marking a wrap for her and her team

The next week, on  Monday and Tuesday, team Ariana with her only one contestant left will be sitting out for her first-ever finale as Jim and Sasha Allen didn’t get votes to be in the safe zone.

The singer expressed her feelings about her first season of The Voice coming to an end for her.”It is a season wrap for team ariana! I Am BURSTING with pride for jim and sasha and all of everyone from #teamariana…. to have met & worked with such brilliant artists is the greatest gift and honor of all of this. I can’t believe there wasn’t a time I didn’t know you all.”

After season 3, The Voice brought a change in the show’s format, where it stopped team quotas, which guaranteed a spot for contestants from each team. However, due to Covid-19, when the show had to cut its seasons short, the quota policy was reinstated.

Now that everything’s back to normal and the show can be run for the desired length, the quota policy was taken out of the format again, which means that no teams were guaranteed a spot at the finale.

On Tuesday’s live result, the list of the first four finalists announced by Carson was from Blake Shelton and Kelly Clark, one of the Voice’s most popular and oldest coaches.

The finalists include Wendy Moten and Paris Winningham from the Blake Shelton team, and Haily Mia and Girl Named Tom band from the Kelly Clark team, which is also the first trio to make it to The Voice finale.
