Ariana was nominated for the artist of the year, best choreography, and best pop song at the MTV VMAs.
Ariana Grande’s low-key and private whereabouts might be because of the dream launch of her R.E.M beauty line which she stated had been working on secretly for the past 2 years. Grande stated, “coveting the secret for the past two years and having testers and samplers in my purse, and people asking me, oh I love your highlight, what are you wearing? And me being like, I don’t know, I’m sweating”.
Grande stated that she went to great lengths in order to keep the news a secret until she is all set to launch the beauty line. “It was so hard to keep a secret for this long.”
In an interview with the Allure magazine, she said that she is planning to concentrate on “new versions of storytelling.” She is not entirely focused on churning out new music at the moment.
The positions singer finally revealed the first line of her cosmetic brand R.E.M Beauty. Her beauty line is receiving mixed reviews at the moment but she is ecstatic to finally do what she has always dreamt about.
The 25 years old singer stated that her cosmetic brand is heavily inspired by the great moguls of the beauty and fashion industry, especially the iconic stars of the 60s and 70s era. She stated she was deeply influenced by Barbarella and Nancy Sinatra. She exclaimed “I’ve always sort of gravitated towards the 50s and 60s and 70s for glamour references. I’ve always pictured myself in a different time period. I’ve always wanted to wear that makeup, wear that hair, wear those outfits, be those performers.”
Ariana Grande will be facing a lot of competition from her counterparts who have already dived into the field of cosmetics such as Halsey, Kylie Jenner, and Rihanna and she will have to work really hard to make her own impression in an already crowded field.
