According to a recent news update, the producers of “America’s Got Talent: Extreme” have halted the production as a stuntman named Jonathan Goodwin was injured in a stunt gone wrong.

As per the news sources, it was confirmed that Jonathan Goodwin was injured during a stunt performance that almost took his life on the most famous reality show “America’s Got Talent: Extreme”. On Sunday, one of the production spokesmen shared an update about the incident and also informed us that the contestant is recovering and doing well now. But the production has been postponed since the show was in the last days of shooting.

“Our thoughts and prayers remain with Jonathan Goodwin and his family as he continues to recover from his accident on Thursday,” the statement reads. “To focus on the wellbeing of our crew, we will be temporarily pausing production on America’s Got Talent: Extreme and will resume the last few days of filming at a later date. The health and safety of our cast and crew continue to be our priority.”

One of the spokespeople of the news told the sources, “During a rehearsal last evening for America’s Got Talent: Extreme, an accident occurred in which escape artist Jonathan Goodwin was injured while performing his act.  He was responsive and was immediately taken to the hospital where he is continuing to receive medical care.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family as we await further updates on his condition.”

The sources claimed that the stunt which took place on the sets of the series took a horrific turn when the two cars crashed into each other, with Jonathan Goodwin was in between them, according to the sources. The cars reportedly crashed into a gigantic fireball which caused the stunt performed to hit the ground and found his head directly hit to the ground. TMZ claimed that Goodwin was hanging only in a jacket 70 feet above in the air.

“America’s Got Talent: Extreme” is an extended series of the previous AGT which was named earlier this month. Terry Crews is the host of the series.
