Much hyped Las Vegas Residency of Adele has been postponed, mere hours before its official commencement due to the surging coronavirus cases.

According to the details Adele announced that the Las Vegas residency is being postponed because of a coronavirus illness surge in her crewmates and other delivery issues.

“All dates will be rescheduled More info coming soon”, Adele Tweeted.

The British singer shared that she was absolutely gutted, and promised to reschedule the dates of the show.

Adele posted a video message on her social media handle in which a teary-eyed Adele can be seen. She stated, “I’m so sorry but my show ain’t ready.”

“It’s been impossible to finish the show,” she added. “I can’t give you what I have right now and I’m gutted.”

“We’ve tried absolutely everything that we can to pull it together in time and for it to be good enough for you but we’ve been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and COVID,” she said, adding that “half my team are down with” the virus.

Adele apologized to all the fans who had already arrived in Las Vegas for the opening concert.

“I’m sorry, it’s last minute. I’m so upset and I’m really embarrassed and I’m so sorry to everyone that’s traveled again.”

The Las Vegas residency was scheduled to begin at the famous Caesars palace hotel this Friday. This was her first official tour after her fourth album “30” hit the market.

This was supposedly her first live concert in the past five years.

While, WCIU-TV’s anchor, Brandon Pope, Tweeted, “I respect that Adele only wants to give a show that is her best effort for the fans. And you can tell she is really pained by inconveniencing people.

Caesar’s palace officially also tweeted that they understood the massive disappointment from Adele fans but “Creating a show of this magnitude is incredibly complex. We fully support Adele and are confident the show she unveils at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace will be extraordinary.”

The majority of the fans supported her decision of postponing the residency along with wishing her and her team well with utmost support.

But there are a lot of people who would be facing the loss of hundreds of dollars because of the hotel and flight bookings.

One of the fans who had already arrived in Las Vegas from New York was flabbergasted and slammed the singer.

Gillian Rowland-Kain said “I was furious that Adele waited until the last minute to make this call,” she said. “I recognize it’s not a call any artist wants to make but she would’ve known yesterday that the show wouldn’t be ready by tomorrow.“Her lack of notice is astounding. I’m angry and frustrated.”
