Actor Drake Bell who rose to fame from the popular Nickelodeon show “Drake & Josh” was sentenced to probation of two years against the child endangerment charges in Cleveland. Bell was accused of sexual contact with a minor girl who he met online and went ahead with the relationship as she attended his concert.

Jared Drake Bell, now 35, had pleaded guilty last month in a court conducted through Zoom against a felony of attempted child endangerment along with a misdemeanor charge of disseminating harmful conduct to minors or juveniles.

The Cuyahoga County Judge Timothy McCormick passed the verdict of allowing Bell to serve probation of two years as well as 200 hours’ community service in California where Bell lives.

The statement was handed out after a lengthy statement submitted by the victim lady who is 19 years old now. She was 15 at the time of the exchange of texts with Bell whom according to her she met through her aunt when she was 12 years old.

She exclaimed that “he was a hero to me”

The woman also stated that Bell sexually assaulted her on two different occasions, but this allegation was fiercely denied by Drake Bell’s attorney. The victim stated that Bell ruined her childhood as well as her life while calling him a “pedophile”

On the contrary, Bell’s attorney Ian Friedman acknowledged the exchange of text messages of sexual content but he denied any sexual assault taking place any time in the past.

Bell joined the court through video conference stating that “I accept this plea because my conduct was wrong, I’m sorry that the victim was harmed in any way, but that was obviously not my intention”

According to the reports, Bell and the girl developed a relationship online and exchanged many inappropriate social messages in the form of lured texts and explicit photos. The victim came forward with charges of Bell sexually assaulting her at a concert in Cleveland.

It is reported that Mr. Bell also paid a greater penalty to the victim which was not disclosed to the media.

Drake Bell began acting as a child and is also an established singer. He rose to fame through nickelodeon’s “The Amanda Show” and then “Drake & Josh”.
