Although this year’s Grammys was not easy on Cardi B and Meghan, the 2021 BET Hip-Hop awards did acknowledge their contribution and awarded them with the top three honors on Tuesday night.

The “WAP” duo, Cardi B and Meghan, bagged an award for the Song of the year. Not only the song became one of the most influential singles of the year, but it also broke the record of “most-streamed song,” within a week of its release with close to 93 million listens.


Apart from this, the Duo also bagged an award for Best Collaboration and Best Hip-Hop Video at the 2021 BET Hip-Hop Awards.

While team Cardi B and Meghan took trio honors in the most prestigious categories, Tyler also bagged Hip-Hop Album of the Year and Best Live Performer.

The 16th BET Hip-Hop Awards happened In Atlanta, Georgia, at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center. Moreover, the star-studded night was filled with live performances of new talents and veteran talents alike. However, Nelly, the “I AM Hip-Hop Honor” winner, took the stage with her emotional acceptance speech.
